Hi Greg. Welcome to the Missional Outreach Network! if you click on the Forum tab and go to "Getting Started," there are instructions on introducing yourself to this community and changing your photo. I see that you already got your picture up. Great!

Feel free to join a group or discussion (see "Groups" in menu bar), invite a friend (see "invite" tab), or start your own group or discussion. It's great to have you aboard!

Hey buddy. Good to have you here. Surf around and check things out. Under the"Main" there are videos. If you have not seen the Lighthouse video, it is well worth it (short and powerful).

Are you interested in doing any writing?
  • James Nored

I thought that was your granddaughter. Congratulations!

So what are the A's plans for your son next year?
  • James Nored

Greg, too many tentacles, I'm sure, but that is how I live life. It's the over achiever in me.

Speaking of websites, I'm soon going to start designing sites for churches and non-profit organizations. Let me know if you need any help.

I would love to have you contribute. What are you most interested in?

Also, I thought that this would be a great communication tool for the Kansas City are ministers. You guys could have your own group. You can send messages to the group, have discussions, post articles and links. Pretty cool.

Greg, I'm working up some different price and platform offerings which I can send to you when I get done. You can design a system with a content management system which allows non-tech people to update most of the content. And you can give different workers or volunteers access to different parts of the site. This allows the site to stay much more current with a lot more content. I can share more later.

Yes, KC group would be great. We need to get Roger DeLoach turned onto this.

We are going to be starting a Starbucks group here over the holidays with some young professionals. There are people from my age group interested too, so we'll add some more groups later. We are starting a lot of different things right now--all very exciting, but they take time.

I'm spending a lot of time building up leaders too. We have a lot of challenges, but there are definitely all kinds of opportunities that God has given us as a church and me personally to serve. I just wish I had 48 hour days so that I could do everything that I want to do. I have some good writing opportunities right now, and the website thing. Life is rich and full in many ways.

James, I'm very interested, if cost conscious. Definitely want to visit about the website potential. We have our present site with "I-Power" and have JUST reupped with the annual fee...but think it could be recoverable if I choose to change. We'll see.

Our preachers' mtg. is a week from tomorrow (actually today!). I'll visit w/Roger about the group!
  • James Nored

Greg, I'll probably have some web options available sometime in January.

Did you have a chance to talk with Roger yet?
  • James Nored

Hey Greg. How are you doing? How were the holidays? I can't sleep, so I got back out of bed.
  • Greg Ziegler

James, I'll respond more later...in a hurry :) Holidays were exceptional except for the sudden death of one of my good friends, Ron Johnson. I was an assistant to him in Legion Baseball (16-18 year olds). He coached for around 30 years...and was 2 years younger than me. Ron had MS, then had a stroke and died much sooner than we expected. Visitation today, funeral tomorrow.

Sorry to share a downer. Hope all is well with you...other than your sleep habits :)

    Later,

    gz

Greg, I'm sorry to hear about your friend.

I hope that all goes well for you tomorrow.

I think we're about to do that online book club here on the site, so stay tuned!
  • James Nored

Hey Greg. How are things in KC? Have you slowed down any from the busy holidays? Also, are you going to Pepperdine this year?
  • James Nored

Congratulations on the Masters graduation. I'm thinking about going again this year. If so, it will be good to see you there.
  • Greg Ziegler

    Sounds good, James...and thanks.

Greg, has the Chronicle written up an article on Brad? If not, I'll recommend this to Bobby Ross.
