Hi Gailyn. Welcome to the missional outreach network! As a starter of movements, I am sure that you will appreciate this one.

A couple of intro things. Click on the "Forum" tab in the menu bar above and go to "Introduce Yourself" for instructions on introducing yourself to the missional community, including creating an "about me" page and updating your profile. I see that you already got your picture up.

It's great to have you aboard!

HI Gailyn. How goes the work in New Orleans? Do you think we could do lunch sometime in the next two weeks? I leave for a class at Fuller on postmodernism on Sun., Nov. 16.

Garth, on this network, and his wife Rebecca work on our community outreach team with me here. They are incredibly devoted workers in the Lord's mission.

Gailyn, I recently went through Bob Logan's Coachnet seminar. It was great. His philosophy fits very well into the Spiritual gifts assessments that I do with. These are non-directive, helping people learn how to better reach out and serve in their daily lives.

I have started coaching Matt Brunk, who is on this network. He is a State Farm rep who has daily conversations with people. I am coaching him on making these conversations more spiritual, helping direct people towards God. He is going to start sharing these experiences on this site, which should be a great insight for all (like church planters) seeking to do this. His goal is to have 15 conversations per month that are spiritual in nature with his clients. (They come to him with all kinds of problems).

The other coachee I started with is Carlos Lopez, helping him find ways to connect to the community. He is going to explore third place type settings with his small group leaders, and meet with the principal of the school in his community to find out how they can serve.

Very exciting stuff, with resources and learning experiences that I hope will be of help to all of us.

Gailyn, if you have not seen the lighthouse video that is on this site, I would check it out. It is powerful, and not too long. (See "Videos" in the menu bar.)

Hi Gailyn. Well, as you can see, the site is really growing. I think that this will be a great place for networking--and might help you find some church planters or congregations.

Do you know Stanley Helton? He is in Canada, but used to minister in New Orleans. He seemed interested in learning about what MA is doing in New Orleans.

Gailyn, I saw the great promo video on your site for Mission Alive. If you upload it to this site, I'll highlight it. (See Videos in menu bar above)

Hi Gailyn. Give me a call today or tomorrow if you get a chance. I want to talk with you about some church planting possibilities in the north Dallas area. And we've got a bit of a "Christmas" gift for you. Talk with you soon.
  • Jorge Daniel Garcia

Hi! I it great to see you here!
  • James Nored

Hi Gailyn. It was good to meet with you yesterday. Just a quick note. I added a blog post with the book that Alan Hirsch recommended on house churches.
  • Zack Blaisdell

Thank you Gailyn! It's a privledge for me to be on here. I hope and pray everyone is having a blessed day. God bless. Grace and Peace.

Hi Gailyn. Please be praying for our Harvest Sunday this Sunday. I am sprinting to the finish line on this. A couple weeks after this, we'll try to do some of the exploring of the area together.
  • Zack Blaisdell

Hi Gailyn! How's it going? I hope and pray you and your family are all well. I am very glad and priviledged to be in your group on the Missional Outreach Network. Cool deal! God bless.
  • James Nored

Hi Gailyn. Check out the Harvest Sunday video on the front of this site. It is pretty powerful.
  • James Nored

Hi Gailyn. I have Sat. lunch taken, so I'll give you a call soon and set up a time with you.
  • Stanley N. Helton

Gailyn, Thanks for hosting the folks from Regina. They were affected positively by what they saw.

I would love to chat with you now that new realities are upon us. You can either call me or, if better, I will be in the OKC area, Feb 25 to about March 3rd. We might find a time to connect while I'm down.
  • James Nored

HI Gailyn. I will give you a call on Monday. I'm actually feeling pretty poor today, though I have some appointments I need to keep. When we get together, I'll help you get setup more on this network.

Hi Gailyn. It was good to see you at the Mission Alive Coaching seminar. Tod did a good job with this. I made some good connections with Hobby Chapin in particular, along with Bret Wells. Hobby and I are planning on staying in touch with a mutually beneficial relationships, and Bret and I are exploring him doing a retreat for us.

Hi Gailyn. How goes things with Mission Alive. With Becky and your family?

Is there anything that I could help promote for you on MON this week?
  • James Nored

Gailyn, I hope that you and David Watson can connect through this site. I would love to see some of your thought exchanges.

Hi Gailyn. How has your class gone?
  • James Nored

Gailyn, it was good to see Wesley Esquivel at the Dynamic Marriage Facilitator training. He and I instantly bonded. Have you had your church planters use Dynamic Marriage. We recently did a Dynamic Marriage mailer, and we have 10 couples from the community going through this. Read about it here.
