Robert, it's great to hear about your work. And I'm glad to officially be "friends"! My D.Min. paper is actually on being a missional church in suburbia, which seems to fit your context well. In it I identify three major areas of brokenness typically found in suburbia which the missional church can seek to address--lack of community/loneliness, lack of purpose/materialism, lack of peace/worry, stress, and anxiety.
