These are pictures of Gina making her confession that Jesus is the Son of God and being baptized into his name at the High Pointe Church of Christ on the last day of my preaching there. I could not be more proud of this precious child. Gina always had a heart for God, even as a little girl. She listened to daddy's sermons, loved "Seek Ye First," asked how she could serve, and always sought to do the right thing. She wrote an essay once in school on "If I were President," in which she talked about what she would do if she were president. Her goals? Feed the hungry, clothe the naked, share Jesus, and make sure that there were at least five churches in every city! More recently, she became convicted that she needed to not judge others and that she wanted to grow spiritually, study God's word on her own, and do more things like help the homeless. Gina, we love you and could not be more proud of you! When Christ was baptized, God said, "This is my son, in whom I am well pleased." For your decision to put Christ on in baptism, I say, "This is my daughter--my firstborn. I am so pleased with her!" We love you dearly. May God be with you in this new walk, and may you always follow Jesus Christ.
