Have you personally ever taught all of Christ's commands to another person?

This Word Cloud represents the over 700 commands of Jesus simplified to one word statements.  The size of each word is determined by its frequency in the Gospels alone.  It was generated because I raised a simple question:

Have you personally ever taught all of Christ's commands to another person?

Follow up questions:

If not, have you ever truly made a disciple?

How long would it take to teach someone else to obey all that Jesus Commanded?

Can a person be a disciple BEFORE they have learned to obey ALL that Christ commanded?

Hi Miguel, It seems that one question always leads to another. I'll echo James Nored's...

Do you have all of the commands of Jesus listed systematically? If so, I would be interested in this list.

My simple answer is No, but I've also never run into anyone that has. I've made a number of searches and inquiries to no avail. I started to make my own list, but bogged down. Most recently a video by Wolfgang Simson mentioned Jesus' commands and I think he said that there were 125 (a long way from 700).

I learned of you from Angela and she was going to message you about my being unable to do a facebook friend request to you.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

First, I must confess that this is the first time in my life that I have been in the process of discipling anyone else (aside from my kids, if that counts). In that regard, I'm just glad to be here (and would ask for your prayers for wisdom on my part).

But I wonder if we should focus not just on what he said - which is of course important - but also on how he lived. Then we imitate him. If that's the case, I'm probably still in the discipling process myself, even after following Jesus for almost 30 years. I'm always learning something new. But I still consider myself to be a disciple - just not a "complete" one.

Miguel, I love this "word cloud"! That is a great question that you raise. When leading a person to faith, I have concentrated on the Sermon on the Mount, and Jesus' passages on sending--seeking the lost, serving the community, and sharing the good news. I'm sure that I've left something out here. A question--if we teach the greatest commandments and the great commission, does this cover everything?
