Prayer for those who are sick

There are many who struggle with illnesses and often times it can be overwhelming. Maybe this discussion can be for the names of those who need to be lifted up to the Lord. I'm involved in several group settings where people have asked for prayers for illnesses. I thought organizationally to have a discussion topic where specific names can be lifted up would be ideal.

Sherrie Hall

She is a lady who has been visiting quite often on Sunday evenings. She has been having illness for the past year and has had a bad run of being misdiagnosed and after a year is still not doing better. She is starting to feel somewhat depressed about it. She wants to start improving, but it keeps seeming to elude her. Now...instead of just 1 thing wrong she has about 5 things wrong. She is at the point now where she tears up as she starts to talk about it.

I will pray for Sherrie. I suffer from a disease that took me six years to get diagnosed so I can sympathize with her completely. If she needs someone to talk to please let me know. Camille

I am praying for her now & that she has good Drs that can help her diagnose the problem. Sometimes things that are difficult to diagnose can be better sorted out at the mmedical school ambulatory center if you want to mention that to her.

I will also pray for Sherrie (wish I had met her). Prayer can do such mighty things in healing, e.g., with my daughter who was so very ill Christmas week and doctors thought she might not live--but she has and only because of prayer! How many stories can we think of just like this? Let's have names for those who are ill for whom we can pray.

Thank you, Laura. I really can't wait to see Sherrie again, because I want to find out what God has been doing in her life this past week. And, I will certainly give an update on her status.

UPDATE--- Sherrie Hall

I was so eagerly waiting ALL week in the hopes that Sherrie Hall would come back to church on Sunday evening. I really couldn't wait to find out what had happened with her this week. I know this probably sounds so incredible...in fact it sounds unbelievable...but Sherrie said that she had felt amazingly better this past week. She also had the good fortune of having an incredible doctor who was willing to call her at 9:30 pm at night to go over her progress/test results.

She has not been able to work for over 3 months now, but now she is thinking that she might be able to go back to work. She had many different things going wrong and now everything is better and she is down to just 1 symptom and even that is better. All I can say is PRAISE GOD. I told Sherrie that there were many here who were praying for her. Thank you for your prayers.
