Reflections on the Coachnet Training on October 7-9, 2008, in LA, California

In October of 2008, I attended a Coachnet Training seminar in LA. This seminar was conducted by Bob Logan and his associates. It really was one of the best seminars I've been to. It was interactive, with hands on practice at coaching. There were interesting people in attendance, and I really benefited from some of the coaching practice sessions. And Bob Logan and his staff were excellent, clearly having much experience in coaching.

For me coaching fit well into the Spiritual gifts discovery and development and the "coaching" sessions that I've been doing during Spiritual gifts assessment sessions. In these sessions, we go through what people's gifts are, but I seek to get them to come up with their own applications as much as possible. This helps them "own" the ideas, and they really know what they best need to do and how the Spirit is prompting them to act.
