Missional Outreach Network

I received a call at the office one day from a lady in Waco Tx. Her niece Kristi had called her to find a Bible study program. So I took down the info and passed it own. I tend to delegate to others when I think I am not the right person for the job. I wonder how many of us do that? I also like starting ministries, find people to run them and move on to start more.Well not this time. I think God had a different path for me.I prayed for guidance about how to achieve this task. I went into Deneen( our children ministry leaders) office and shyly asked her if she would go with me to study with Kristi. She said of course,I was relieved to find someone that would go with me. So I called Kristi and set up a time. Our first meeting was canceled and I prayed that she would not back out. We went on the next Monday. We drove up and there was a tiny travel trailer.I was nervous thinking "I am not qualified to do this" Kristi then stepped out and suddenly I felt at ease. She looked exited to see us and welcomed us in. She has had a really tough life. We talked for a little while and started our study. The Story of Redemption by James Nored. We went thru half of Book one with her. She seemed really ready to study and eager for the next lesson. I was also surprised at how Deneen and I felt. This was exciting and I actually went out of my comfort zone. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Teresa, thanks for this uplifting story you've shared. When we step out of our comfort zone and do what God wants us to do, He will definitely supply the power and strength we need to accomplish the task. I'll be praying for your next visit to be as successful as this one.
