Here is a note from Linda Hardin, who serves in our Food Pantry Ministry at High Pointe.
”We were delighted to help 25 children of families who frequent our food pantry with school supplies this week. The children were so thankful and proudly left with new backpacks, filled with supplies, on their backs. One lady, who was a first time visitor to the pantry, observed this when she came in the building and asked if we could help her two children. She said her ex-husband was not paying any child support and she didn’t want to send them to school next week empty-handed.
We managed to throw a few left-over supplies together and put them in two new backpacks.
The lady broke down in tears when I handed her a big bag of groceries and school supplies for her children. I took her hands and prayed with her and asked God to bless her and her children and to provide their needs . . . It seemed to make a giant impact on her life.”- Linda Hardin
What a wonderful story! It warms my heart to hear how people are being fed, prayed for, and lifted up with dignity.
So--what next steps can be taken with families like these to lead them to Christ?
