I was reminded that we do make a difference in people’s lives when we reach out to them. I came into the office on Thursday morning, a day after my mother’s funeral to several hand written notes and expressions of sympathy from our food pantry customers. They touched my heart and blessed me in such a special way. One was written in Spanish and I didn’t have a clue what it said, but I know it was written in love and it gave me comfort and strength. These are wonderful, caring people who struggle with finances, health issues and hard times and I’m so thankful that God has led them to us.
We encourage those who come to pray for others by giving them a prayer lists sometimes when they come. They always accept it and look for their names on the list. They feel comfortable to give me updates and tell me when prayers are answered. I especially love this part of the ministry.
