A short time back I got an email from Linda Hardin asking if I could contact a women in need of newborn clothes. I called her, and her teen daughter was pregnant and in need of newborn clothing. We made plans to meet at the clothes closet that day, because I knew we had newborn clothing at that time that was left over from the Church consignment sale. They came in and I already had a few things picked out, we found some more things together, and she was able to find some other things including bottles, and a dishwasher container for washing pacifers and such. She insisted on only taking newborn clothes and not anything larger. I assumed that she must be giving the baby up for adoption. The girls mother was dressed in old clothes, and her pants were held up by a safety pin. She didn't ask for any clothes, but I told her she was welcome to shop for herself, and she left with a bag of clothes also. The young mother was also able to find some maternity clothes that were donated after the Church consignment sale. They both thanked me for the help, and told me they would bring everything back later for someone else to use again. I told them thankyou!, baby clothes are always needed. They were very sweet.

I'm finding that the people who need help the most, take the least. They are very thankful, and not greedy at all. Please consider donating your clothes to the Clothes Closet instead of making a few dollars at a garage sale, or on ebay. Why not make a difference in someones life, while adding space to your closet!
