hello everyone, i am new to this site and group. i work full time in ministry in manchester, nh and cant stand telephones ringing off the hook all day with a telemarketer on the other end....so i do my studying in very public places like starbucks,…
Coffee, Fellowship, and Missions. One of these can lead to the next. When people meet to talk it is usually over a cup of coffee. Use this to help one's faith reach higher ground. This is a place to share success stories and ideas.
Hi Ryan. Thank you for sharing your story. What an inspiring transformation! Having your "office" out where people are, like in Starbucks, is an important and substantive message to members as well as those out in the world.
As for me, I grew up going on Let's Start Talking mission trips during the summers. In college I started doing Bible studies with those in prison, and really loved this. I dropped out of medical school to go into ministry. i have been evangelistic for a long time, but I was really moved into the missional movement when I read "Missional Church" back in 2000. In Liberty, MO, where I ministered for 6 years, the church grew substantially through evangelism. I moved to McKinney, TX (in N. Dallas) area a year ago as the preacher and missional leader to help the church reach out to the community. I'm finishing a D.Min. from Fullert Theological Seminary in evangelism, postmodern culture, and missional church. That is the short version!
Welcome Ryan! I'm part of the Texas bunch here, but I have been to Manchester, NH with my family. We headed over to Maine for a summer vacation a few years back and we used Manchester as our airport base. It's beautiful there!
Glad to have you, Ryan. Be warned--this site is addictive! :) Actually, it is a lot of fun, and a great way to meet people, find resources, and be encouraged.
HI Ryan. Welcome to the Missional Outreach Network! If you click on the Forum tab and go to "Getting Started," there are instructions on introducing yourself to this community and changing your photo and profile. I see that you already got your picture up. Great!
Feel free to join a group or discussion (see "Groups" in menu bar), invite a friend (see "invite" tab), or start your own group or discussion. It's great to have you aboard!
