Should churches celebrate memorial day?  At all? We celebrate the true Memorial Day each time we take the Lord's Supper.  I'm not sure honoring man has any place in our worship os the Lord.

There is a time and place for giving honor.  The "church building" is an assembly hall that can be used for many puropses including giving honor to those who have given their lives in service to country.  I think it should be separate and apart from worshiping and honoring God.  A separate assembly perhaps.  As to the use of the US flag, it should not be used in a Christian worship service especially if a "Christian" flag is also used.  US flag edicut requires the US flag to have the dominate position.  The Triunion God should be first.

Cal, as to not honoring man in worship--I understand the point. The Bible does talk about giving honor to whom honor is due. We sometimes honor teachers, mothers, and fathers, etc., in "worship." What do you think of this?
