Missional Thought of the Day - Only Multiplication Will Reach the US

In his book, The Multiplying Church, Bob Roberts says this:

"I have a vision and a dream. Let's start a thousand churches over the next ten years, each one running a minimum of two thousand members, and in just ten years we will turn America upside down with the gospel! That woudl work, right? Wrong--that scenario just happened over the past ten years, and there are fewer people in church today than ever before."

Pretty unbelievable, isn't it? A thousand megachurches sounds like a lot of people, but it is just a drop in the bucket in the US population. The only way to keep up with the growing US population and reverse the downward trend of Christianity is through multiplication. Think networks. Church planting movements. A gospel message simple enough to be "sneezed," as Alan Hirsch says, so that it can spread like a virus.

How do we partner with God to bring about multiplication?
