THE BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHURCH OF CHRIST ANTSAMPANIMAHAZO-MADAGASCAR

INTRODUCTION

Antsampanimahazo Is an encampment of Madagascar. It’s a Rural district community of Faratsiho, Region Vakinankaratra, and province of Antananarivo. The Church Is born in this village, the 13th May 2012, followed the conversion of a nurse, working at the health center of base level 2, of this community, thanks to the preaching of a Cameroonian evangelist by name Sylvain Xavier NKEMBE KEMWA.

I am the nurse in question that testifies the truthfulness of this history. Permit me to tell you the history of the Church of Christ that still dwells in the faith, hope and love in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The first meeting with the unknown evangelist.

The evangelist Sylvain Xavier NKEMBE KEMWA was a volunteer teacher in a private school at Analahantsana, located in a neighboring village of ours. He was teaching French and English. He had an Adventist friend, a teacher too in the same village. On the 1st May 2012, the Adventist church in our community, and of other neighboring villages thought it wise to effectuate social works in the chief place of Antsampanimahazo.

They sent volunteers to clean the old health center base, of the council and of the camp of the Gendarmerie. The evangelist accompanied his friend for this good work. It was for the first time that we met. After accomplishing the cleaning of the ancient, the Adventists already programed dinner of togetherness at their place, meanwhile we and others were invited by the mayoress of the Antsampanimahazo community, to take together the afternoon supper with her. She took us to eat at a small but nice place of the village. We were six in number at that moment.

There were the mayoress, Xavier, his Adventist friend, the director of a protestant private school, another teacher of the catholic school and me. By eating, we discussed on many things and the discussion touched religious questions. It was as from that moment that everything started. The starting of the preaching of the gospel of Christ When the discussion that concerned religion started, we asked turn by turn a lot of questions to Xavier. Up to that moment, nobody knew that he was an evangelist. We knew him as a simple foreign teacher.

The first thing that astonished me the more during the discussion, was the fact that Xavier answered all the questions we asked him and all the answers he gave was touching and interesting for i have never had satisfactory answers before by asking these questions to other religious leaders. I remember very well that i asked him of which religious group does he belong. He simply answered me am a child of God>>. I insisted by asking him of which denomination?>> and he answered with a smile am without division. Am just simply a child of God and i belong to the church of Christ>>. Until then i have not understood much of what he just explained but deep down in me everything that he was saying was interesting me much. During the discussion, we propose a project with the mayoress of Antsampanimahazo so that Mr. Xavier teaches communication, French and English to the personnel of the council of Antsampanimahazo and to other interested person. We discussed and planned the realization of this project.

Since that day, Xavier frequently visited the village of Antsampanimahazo and he logged in my place during his visit, until he returned to his village for his job. Before me and my wife thought it wise to baptize our little girl cadet, of age eight months. We were of the Lutheran church and the baptism was already program for Sunday the 13th May 2012. The days before that date, some members of our family came from afar, coming to our home to assist in the baptism. My father, father-in-law, my sister cadet and nephew where there. The preaching of the gospel Thursday the 10th May 2012, i announced to Xavier that my little girl will be baptize on Sunday 13th May 2012 and i invited him to take part. He did not refuse but that day, he gave me some documents of preaching concerning salvation in Jesus Christ>>.

He told me when offering it to me that i wish that you should read it before Sunday>>. I was surprise by hearing him say so and i asked myself <>. SALVATION  MY SALVATION 

I believe the gospel of Jesus Christ Friday 11th May 2012, i took my time to read all the documents that Xavier gave me. The theme of the documents was the salvation in Jesus Christ and especially baptism. By me starting to read, i could not stop so i read till the end. During that moment, i learned and had knowledge thanks to the word of God, that am nothing in front of Him.

I learned from the word of God that I am a poor sinner who has missed his way and need salvation. I learned and i believe that only Jesus Christ the son of God who died for my sin could save me. I learned and i believe that am to believe in Jesus Christ the son of God as my Lord and savior. I learned and i believe that am suppose to repent so that God should forgive me of all my sins. I learned and i believe that I was the one who was stain with all sort of iniquity who needed to be baptize and not my little innocent girl. I learned and i believe that am to be baptize for the forgiveness of my sin and receive the gift of the Holy spirit. I learned and i believe that i need this salvation in Jesus Christ to be reconciled with God and to become a>>. 
