Hi Bill. I'm glad that you and Lea did this. Who knows how it may impact them down the line?

It is good to take advantage of various holiday events to invite people to in the neighborhood, like a neighborhood Christmas party.

About 2 years ago my wife and I with a couple of other families in the church made a strong effort to bring the stranger to acquaintance idea to reality.  We contacted 20 families and invited them to an outdoor picnic at our house.  One family showed up.  We became acquaintances that day.

That is about a 5% response to the effort.  In my personal experiences that is about what I have come to expect.

Yes, it is great when city leaders call on Christians to be Christians! We partnered with a local school, and the principal there has been awesome. Besides us coming out to them to help at the school, she has even come out to help us with our Christmas for Children ministry.

How awesome is it that God is speaking through city leaders to the pastors and church leaders ... asking for His mission to become reality!
