About Me
Hi! I am Kathryn Ross. My husband, DeWayne, and I have been married for 16 years. We have four rambunctious boys. Colin is 12 and in the 6th grade at Anna Middle School. Caleb is 8 and in the 3rd grade. We also have Corbin (4) and Colby (2). If you haven't guessed from the title of my page, they all have the initials CDR. We also have a adopted for the year daughter, Sanha. She is an exchange student from South Korea. We have hosted students for 6 years now and we love it.
I work as a speech pathologist in the Anna, Farmersville and Community school districts. I love working with children with special needs. I feel that loving and ministering to families with challenging children (especially rambunctious boys!) is a great need in our churches.
We are excited to be in the McKinney area now and are getting to know people at High Pointe Church of Christ. I work with the deaf ministry there, which has always been a passion of mine. Before moving to Anna, we lived in Copperas Cove and were part of the family at Western Hills Church of Christ in Temple, TX.

My prayers continue to be with you and your family during this difficult time regarding your father-in-law.
I use my mood disorder to help others. I want them to see that if you get help, and the most healthy ones will admit they need help, you too can have a wonderful life. Sat was unusual for me in that usually I'm pretty normal. LOL Scary thought. LOL I just let my stress and fatique and lack of meds get the best of me. I talk to anyone who needs help in facing depression/manic attacks that will ask. I use it to let others know that life is great and you can be normal, but you have to want to be. Some like their depression, but I have too much to do to want to be depressed. I want to live my life to it's fullest for God. I burned my brain out, so it's my responsibility to do what I can to be normal to glorify God. I don't have time to be depressed, because I'm too busy, but then without my meds, I'm back in that vicious cycle. Have you noticed anyone complaining about be manic? NO! It's wonderful, until you go overboard, but you are superwoman while it lasts. I don't have manic attacks anymore, and I miss them. Wow! What fun and productivity, but I also know that with the manic times I would then spirial down to the bottom. So finding the right doctor and the right meds keep me pretty stable. Which, speaking of meds, it's time I took mine and got going on things I have to do today.
God bless you, Kathryn and all your precious family.
PS If you know anyone who needs to talk about depression or manic attacks, send them to me. I've managed this disorder for about 20 years.
Toodles,
Jo
I sometimes have problems with depression this time of year. I'm a manic/depressive, but am on meds which really controls it, but I forgot to take my meds yesterday, now that I think about it, and I've just been too busy. I also have SADD, so I need more light, which has been an off/on thing for a few days. LOL
Also, this will my first Christmas ever in my life without my Mother.
Thank you for your prayers. I just give myself too many challenges at this time of year.
This Wed. night will be our last Wed. night to teach the Third Grade students. I've planned a fun review of the semester's learning.
Tell Caleb, "Hi".
Again, thank you for your thoughts. I got a couple of e-mails and calls, so in about 2 hours I was back to being my usual self.

Hope you have a great week. Thanks for adding me as your friend. Please join my group, too. Post your picture, too.
Toodles,
Jo
