Can Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts Help us Feel Validated, Valued, and Wonderfully Made?

One of the great joys of my ministry is helping people discover their Spiritual Gifts.  This helps people see how God has made them, how they can serve in God's kingdom, and where God is already at work in their lives.

Some people rarely are affirmed. Or they have been forced into a box. Or tried to be made a teacher or speaker or a food preparer when they are not really gifted in those areas. But when they discover their Spiritual gifts and are affirmed in these areas, it can be a true blessing.

Kelcey Elmore, member at the Grapevine Church of Christ, recently took the Spiritual Gifts Inventory. She discovered from this that she has gifts in:

• Discernment
• Encouragement
• Hospitality
• Wisdom
• Helping

She wrote this about her experience in taking the Spiritual gifts assessment and discovering her gifts::

"I feel so validated now. I always have known these gifts to be true of myself, but have never felt like my unique gifts were valued or understood by others. It is INCREDIBLY liberating to learn that my gifts are real, useful, important, given to me by God, and that I don't have to be what others 'think' I should be. I am fearfully and wonderfully made."

This was such a powerful testimony that I asked Kelcey if I could share this with all of you. She said, "Of course--after all, I have the gift of Encouragement!" Indeed you, do, Kelcey. And you are indeed fearfully and wonderfully made. I just love it when people feel loved, valued, and useful in God's kingdom.

Hi , i just say thanks to Bro. James Nored for his Discovering Spiritual gifts . I took this assessment and received my 5 gifts,  they are : 

1 Speaking 2 . Administration 3. Evangelism 4. Faith  5. wisdom.

after this, I am inspired a lot and using them in my ministry in India. and also preparing the video of how i am using my gifts for your prayers and to inspire others in Lords work.

this is second resource for my work in India from Bro. James Nored . first resource was Story of Redemption books . they are very useful and many are interesting to study them. and I am learning lot of things and being blessed by this great network.
