Introduction: The key words in the book of Ephesians are in Christ; our brother Paul used this expression 200 times in his epistles, 30 times in Ephesians only. The key verse Chapter 1:3, blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed use with all spiritual blessings in heavenly place in Christ.

A What is in Christ? Not in the world or elsewhere,
i. A new creature – 2Cor 5:17, old things are passed away
ii. Salvation – Acts 4: 12, 2Tim 2:10
iii. Reconciliation – 2Cor 5:19 – 20
iv. Forgiveness – Eph 1:7
v. Justification – Gal 2:17
vi. Grace – 2Tim 2:1, Eph 2:8 – 9

i. Hope – 1Cor 15:19
ii. Promise – Eph 3:6, 2Cor 1:20
iii. Every promise in God words is conditional,
iv. Eternal life Rom 6:23, 1John 5:11
v. No condemnation in Christ, Rom 8:1

C To be in Christ, is to be in his body, the Church
i. Rule of logic; the things equal to the same thing; those two things are equal to each other.
1. Members in Christ Rom 12:5
2. Members in body Eph 5: 30
3. Reconcile in one body Eph 2:16
4. The saved are in Christ body Eph 5:17
5. The saved are in his body Eph 5: 23
6. The scripture says in Christ, says also in one body than everything that in Christ is also in the body.

D How do we get into Christ
i. Many false ways – Prov 1:26
ii. The men’s ways is not the Lords ways Isa 55:8, Jer 10:23
iii. Will faith only put us into Christ, James 2:17, 2:24

Conclusion: Therefore everything that is in Christ, is to be the Church, the body, Acts 20:28, Blood purchased Matt 26:23
