Introduction: this the stone which was rejected by the builders , which has become the chief coner stone .nor is there salvation in any other,for thre is no any other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved .Acts 4: 11 -12 ps 118:2
(A)Because of the rejection of our lord Jesus christ the world is back with sin ,like the days of Sodom? War, rape and killing of innocent people .
(I)He was the light wich lighteth every man that cometh into the world, even in our modern world today, one must turn the switch to get light Joh 1:9
(II)Isa 53 : 3 this verse is a prophecy , of the birth,rejection and the sacrifice of jesus christ.To reject is to discard, refuse to hear or receive the Lord as the saviour of the world. This happenned to christ jesus and is still continuing to heppen today.
(B)We believe that the world is still rejecting him –Why?
Religious divition :
(I)It is impossible to read new testament and come to any other conculution, religious division is the heart breaking to the mind of God.
(II)Paul condermedthe cori thians brethren 1cor 1:10
(III)The children of Israel, the people on the day of pentacost Acts 20:28 – 33
(IV)Division is the devil most effective weapon, for if religious division is pleasing to God ,then he has no religious stand of his own?
(V)Division is a mockrery to the prayers of Jesus.Joh 17: 20-24.
C. people reject Christ because of unholy division in the Churches of Christ.
i. paul said, for you are yet carnal, for where us there is among you envying, strive and division are you not carnal and walk as men. Walking like ungodly men not like Christians” ICor 3:3
ii. ICor 3:4 walking after men-following Preachers and missionary
iii. ICor 1:10-13 There are contentions among you.
D. Men reject Christ because of the more righteous than your attitude.
I. Making commandments where God never made Rev. 22:18-19
ii. No Bible class Titus 2:1-15
iii. One cup
iv. Change the name Church of Christ by using the name of the pastor or the name of mission etc
v. Trust only a preacher not trust the Church elders
vi. All this kind of division started in the days of paul. Acts 20:28-31
E. Men reject Christ when they reject his divinity
i. matt 26:63-67, they spit in his face because of it
F. His Authority is rejected. Col 3:17, Matt 28: 18-20
i. Popes, Councils, Sects reject him.
ii. His Authority in divorce rejected matt 19:1-9
iii. His Authority on plan of salvation is one of the primarey reasons men rejected Christ.
iv.His Authory on giving rejected.
His Authority on singing rejected
vi. Men rejected the commandments of God for traditions mark 7:7-9
G. They rejected Christ when they rejectd the Church.
i. His Church matt16:13-19
ii. They rejected the one Church Eph 1:22-23, 4:4
iii. They reject is his death and the resurrection matt28:8-12
v. The Lord was rejected by his own people . John 1:11
The Jews , his own people put him to death. Matt27:24-25, Acts 3:13-19
