Texas Quarterback Colt McCoy Gives it Up to God

Colt McCoy is one of the best college quarterbacks ever to play the game, with 45 wins. He was, unfortunately, knocked out of the National Championship game on Jan. 7, 2010, against Alabama, suffering a shoulder injury. But in the amazing post game interview, he gives all glory to God and puts his trust in him. What an awesome kid!

So, how can we be more like Colt McCoy?

I watched the game and also caught this interview. Colt left his injury, and its aftermath totally in the hands of God. Many Christians don't approach life this way. When it goes well, we might remember to thank God for our blessings. But when things go awry we wonder why God is allowing such things to happen. God is always there and will help us get through whatever troubles tumble in on us. See 1st Corinthians 10:12-13. Colt seems to have taken this passage to heart and so certainly seems to live it out in his life. It was (and is) a wonderful testimony -- and on national television to boot!!
