Update on new open hours

The new open days are going really well! We are having large amounts of people coming in, but they are more dispersed throughout the day, which is really nice not having such a large crowd all at once. It gives us a chance to be more personal with the people that come in. We have given away many spanish bibles to those who were interested. Iada Reyes, who is a member of the spanish congregation in Plano, has been helping with the Clothes Closet for years. She has been helping out during the week and is invaluable! She is so sweet, and a wonderful translator! She has invited many spanish familys to come visit the spanish congregation. (Where Carlos Lopez preaches in Plano) Some have been very interested, and have called back for driving directions! We are also very grateful for Mary, who owns the Cotton Closet, which is a re-sale shop in Allen. We load up all her excess clothes every week for our Clothes Closet. Being open more hours, we are going through more clothes. It just wouldn't be possible without her generous donations everyweek! She is also expanding her re-sale shop to include kids clothing. So hopefully soon, we will be getting childrens clothes from her too! Which are always desperatly needed! We are also rejoicing with Brenda (one of our Clothes Closet regulars) who got the job we prayed about! She came in beaming, looking for scrubs for her new position! Being open during the week is also helping in another unexpected way. We are getting new volunteers who need community service hours. So they are helping us in our sorting, and we are helping them with their hours! Its a win win situation!
