Please remember the Clothes Closet while you are doing your spring cleaning!  We can use clothing, shoes, purses, toys, towels, curtains, cookware, kitchen sets.....anything that you use in your house, we can use in the Clothes Closet!  

 

Special Need this week! :

We have a family, who's house has been flooded.  Everything they owned made of fabric, now has black mold all over it.    They need mattresses, bedding, and clothing.  The little girl wears a size 6, and the husband wears a medium shirt and a 34 pant.  If you can help with these items please let me know!

I have a heart for school teachers, as my mother was a school teacher. I hope that we can find some of what they need. This is a great opportunity to show them Christian love and care. Thanks for getting the word out for us.

Dalana, Dina Cameron asked me what size mattresses this family needs. Do you know?

I just spoke to Jenny, and they have purchased mattresses on credit and are waiting for insurance to come through. The insurance is giving them problems. She asked for prayers mostly! They could still use clothes.

Hi Dalana,

I just want to thank you and High Pointe so much for your help us during this difficult time. The clothes and sheets were such a blessing after our apartment flooded. We are just now getting back on our feet.

I want to share with you how God has turned our crisis into answered prayers. My husband and I have been praying for a several months for our daughter, Emily. She has been angry ever since we sold our home and moved into our apartment.
The Fairways at Wilson Creek were amazing! They were kind, helpful, and efficient throughout this process. They helped move us into a different unit. We are now surrounded by other christian couples, a lovely bike trail that Emily loves and a new best friend for her right upstairs.
We have lost many sentimental items, household goods and decorative things. None of these mean anything. My daughter is happy again and says that she loves the new apartment even better than our house.
The Clothes Closet gave me hope and confidence to get through the next several weeks. You will forever be in our hearts! May all of you be blessed over and over again for your generosity. Thank You.

Jennie, we are so glad that you have seen God at work throughout this terribly trying time, and that you have found a place to live. God blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. While we have been able to perhaps help in some small way through the Clothes Closet, you have blessed us greatly by helping us see that God is at work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story and express thankfulness. This is always encouraging to our workers to know that these efforts have a positive impact upon people.

Jenny, I am the minister at the High Pointe Church of Christ. I am looking to start several new community based Bible studies in people's homes. Would you be willing to open up your apartment and invite your circle of family, neighbors, and friends to attend? I have a study that I go through with people called The Story of Redemption. It tells the overall story of the Bible, Jesus, salvation, and daily Christian living. God's story is quite powerful, and I love sharing it.
