Please join me in praying for the following people who came to the food pantry this week. There were many tears shed - many are hurting and feel hopeless.
- Jamie’s 16 year old son is in drug rehab. Pray he will be healed and make better friends and choices in the future.
- Sandy is a lady with two children that is in hiding from an abusive husband who also abused their young daughter. She has been living with her mother, who recently
had to quit her job due to health problems. Sandy is trying desperately to find a job. She had a job interview in Arkansas a couple of weeks ago and was so hopeful
it would work out, but it didn’t. She’s at the end of her rope and just wants us to pray for the whole family. We’ve helped the kids the past 3-4 years with Christmas
gifts and they have benefited from the food pantry and clothes closet. Every once in a while, I give her some gas money or have a prescription filled for her mom. I
don’t know how this family is making ends meet, but Sandy really needs to find a job quickly.
- Martinez family – health. Mother, Garisel is sick and father, Edgar, needs a job.
- Amanda needs a part-time job (data entry, etc.)
- A.J needs a job (anything).
- Terry needs a job (anything).
- Michelle needs prayers for health.
- Betty’s son, Bobby, for health
- Marion ’s sons, Jeremiah & Joshua, are both in jail. Pray that they will come to know God and for Him to change their lives. It came to my mind that this mother
named her sons biblical names when they were born and probably had such high hopes for them and now she’s full of pain for how they are living their lives.
- Reginald’s kidneys are failing and he has started dialysis 3 days a week. His son, Jimmy, age 22 just got out of jail and two days later robbed a convenience store.
Reginald did not cry when he told me about his health problem, but when he started talking about his son the tears flowed. I assured him we would pray for them.
- Mary is a young, mentally challenged woman who is trying to get her son back. I don’t know the details but she has a hard time keeping a job and frequents the
food pantry only when she’s in between jobs. I don’t even know if there’s a possibility of her getting her son back, but I do know she’s hurting. She cried and told
me she couldn’t talk much about it. I found a book of encouragement in the office that I gave her to read and told her we would pray for her. I’m not sure what to
pray for other than God’s peace in her life.
