Who are the Latinos in Leadership right now?

What got them there, what can we learn about Latinos in Leadership in the present time?

I put up a video about this very topic in which governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico, former

presidential nominee, and he speaks about this very issue and how to attract Latinos. I would love

your feedback and even if you can watch a part of this that would be great! Thanks. Gracias.

First of all, I have to say that this such a great topic for a discussion! As you titled it, Latinos in Leadership, a lot of questions starting going off like; who are the Latinos in leadership right now, what got them there and how can we learn from it, and also how can we bring more of those Latinos into LEADERSHIP. I know some Latinos that are great leaders in their respective 'fields' like brother Sixto, he is a good example of Latino as a leader, he works to help people to come to God and help others in their problems by letting them know that the only path to salvation is through God (Amen!), that being one example. Another would be Latino people that we don't really hear about, whether be on tv, radio, or the news but they are working hard to help the Latino community grow and be heard. Scholarships that are given to Latino students. Who are the people that are making it for us, as students, and future leaders, possible to have them and succeed thanks to that Latino association that works courageously to provide us this helpful financial aid. Those are the leaders that clearly want this nation to grow by improving more and more the Latino group in it. What got these people in the lead was the desire to see a community oriented not only by the Anglo community but by their very own community, the Latino! I'm personally learning so much from the leaders that are working everyday to bring up more people to Christ and more people to discover their strengths and to know that they can also be leaders. "You have a great potential inside of you", is what I heard from Brother Sixto many times telling people. That is the kind of attitude we need. We need to encourage people to let them know that they have it in it; they can be great future examples for the third generation.

My friends, I happily enjoy to be part of this and whatever help I can bring to the table or ideas I am willing to do it. Wilmer I think you made a wise decision putting up the video as an example of Latino leadership and of course the topic being discussed in it of how to attract Latinos! Very well done sir.
Well thanks! And wow, thanks for that input! Your opinions are very valued. There is something that caught my attention, that you have " a great potential inside of you" I think that's amazing and true. Everyone is gifted with something, everyone has a talent, something to give forth and help others. I think we should expand on this on the Latinos. How do we do this? There are several Latinos, you are right, that have come here and succeeded, I will see if I can put more info, but that's just one example. How can we bring about those leaders is the ? What are ways to bring about Latino Leadership?

My dad is a great example!
