Mission Shaped Church.pdf - This is a missions report that Eddie Gibbs, author of ChurchNext and co-author of Emerging Churches, pointed our postmoderism class at Fuller towards. It gives an analysis and prediction of different forms of church, both old and new, for the future.

Emergent Village - Emergent Village is a particular "brand" of the emerging church movement and is at the left end of the movement.
Tony Jones' Blog - Tony Jones is a controversial figure within the emerging church movement, considered to be on the left. He recently stepped down from his position at Emergent Village

The North American Lutheran church will launch next Friday. This denomination is being formed as a reaction against the Lutheran church accepting non celibate homosexuals as Lutheran ministers. Read here.

Here is an article called "More Teens Becoming 'Fake' Christians." The article argues that teens are being sold a fake Christianity, where being a Christian is about staying off drugs and being nice--devoid of challenge or service. Such Christianity is actually off-putting to teens, the article says.

Here is an article called "Your Business Coach: Managing Generation X." Suggestion on "managing" Gen Xers - give them a lot of room, don't micromanage, and realize that they are not afraid to challenge the system when it is off. As a Gen Xer, I say, "Amen!"

Postmoderns are skeptical of hierarchies, and they prefer flat line structures as much as possible. Perhaps there is some good reason for this. Studies show that we tend to give nice guys or girls power. But then, the more power or authority we are given, the more of a jerk we tend to become. Read this Wall Street Journal article on this, which is based upon research.
