Thanks, James. I'm on!
Found out today from Deneen that we are going to need 15 food bags for families at Johnson Middle School and we will need 25 to 30 bags for the needy that usually come to the building during the week. Our big goal is for 50 bags. We may need to have a few extra for our Spanish speakers.
Thanks again.

Hello. I am meeting with a guy for lunch who is leaving the mortgage industry to apply to be an agent for our company. Hey- I invited Marc, and am not sure why he didn't join on my invite. I will give him a hard time about joining on your invite. Then, I'll give him a noogie on the head. haha

As for the name of the site... I'll be thinking about that. I think it definitely needs something "cooler" than "Missional Outreach Network."

"Ape Hangers" might just be "too cool" and won't offer terribly informative communication!

Those are called "Ape Hangers" or simply "Ape Bars" and the legal limit is just below shoulder high. I've personally never understood it... control of the bike is significantly limited and I'd think your arms would fall asleep! It is all about "cool" and definitely not about function. I think the idea came out of the 60's and is making a comeback. No one I ride with have them.

Oh... and about the bike... if there is a 12-Step program for motorcyclists, I should be first in line! The one pictured is one of two, which could easily be one of a dozen if finances were no object! It happens to be the one I'm riding today.

Hello James,

Yes, we did meet a few months ago on the Plano campus. Thanks for the welcome to this virtual community. I look forward to stimulating discussion and advancement of the kingdom.

The Renfros and I do go way back. Please give them my regards next time you see them.

I pray the Lord is blessing your ministry and that things are going well in your arrival to McKinney. I look forward to getting better acquainted with you in the future.

Peace.

Good to hear that you're doing real "church" stuff down there Its always good to know whats going on, especially when churches are doing what they are supposed to. Keep being real.

I am still doing the Communcations masters. I LOVE IT! Its opened me up to a whole new thinking and made me love the scholarly side of things so much that I am now aiming to be involved in higher learning. I have actually fallen in love with school....weird to say that.

Travis is good. He's my roommate here in Liberty. We have an apt. and he just does his thing. The thought of him and Christianity I think is becoming more and more distant. Which is sad and feel partially responsible for it. Im not always the best example. Sorry. But I am to love him and all people, no matter their choices...

Yeah, James. I am back in L-town. I'm in grad school and finishing up my first year in the next month or so. Soon, I'll be done and then who knows? How's Texas?

We know Garth because he was in our youth group in The Woodlands Texas about 100 years ago. He's a good one.

Yes...we're a product of GCRCofC and a Christian Church church planting organization out of California called Stadia. We think we might've been the first product of cooperation between the CofC and the Christian Church since they split 100 years ago. We don't wear either name -- We're New Life Church. CofC has a terrible rep here in Odessa. We get a lot of their wounded -- looking to give church one more chance. I suppose you've heard Ronnie is retiring soon.

James- I will indeed share this site with my "Christian church friends". This is a great resource for all of us and a great way to stay in touch.

My day was pretty good, I had to work late because my boss has been off sick all week and we had a problem come up at the last minute that I had to clear up before I left. Now I'm home and trying to figure out how I can be in two places at the same time tonight. What's new huh?
