I can watch snow fall and not think about the damage that might come to the flowers.

I can drive my vehicle hard and not think about the damage that is being done to my tires.

I can preach "lazily" and not think about the "sleepers" in the pew.

Ever noticed that most words that start with C-O-M-M-U-N- - - end up being bad words? Communism...nasty word. Communicable...eeeewwwwww. And the worst of all...COMMUNICATE. Wow. How often it seems that my heart is distracted from God's mission in my life (and in this church) all because of the drama that is life. I'm distracted. Financial worries...Marital woes...numerous jobs...many varying tasks to perform...time with children...lost loved ones...relational tension showing up in places I've never seen it...I'm distracted.
